Preparing to face teen age part 2

In the previous article(preparing to face to face teen age 1)
I mentioned the the physical changes that takes place and are observed on the body of a kid getting into teen age.
I also said its possible for those changes to be observed even before the teen age.
This is due to early secretions of growth hormones. The pituitary gland Produces hormones called Gonadotropins which stimulates the testicles or ovary to make Testosterone or estrogen.  For boys and girls respectively. This takes us into puberty.  Puberty is “a stage in life when one develops from a child into an adult being liable to having children if engage in sexual activities"
These changes in girls lead to the monthly flow of blood as unfertilized eggs are being removed from the body and it is important to always keep neat during the menstrual period to avoid body odour and embarrassements..
Using sanitary pads to prevent being stained.
So from here if you are not yet at puberty and you happen to start bleeding,  don't panic, it is normal you just need to inform your mom or anyone else very close to you.
For the males, you will start the process of sperm ejaculation in dreams called Wet dreams Where in you have the sensation of sexual activities .
When that happens, just clean yourself up the next morning and stay cool..

Behavioral changes

These changes in the behavior of a teenager is due to the multiple metabolic activities taking place in the body.  These awareness lead to behaviors such as;
•Shyness this is more common in girls who turn to shy away from boys and also are not comfortable with the new features on their bodies..
•Headiness and Aggressiveness(in males)  the teenagers turn to start taking own decisions because they feel they are old enough and are responsible..
The male also feel they are strong enough to get into fights with others and even their seniors.
  •Emotional(more visible in females)
The emotions that sprout out and are more frequent are Anger and excitement caused by the hormone Adrenaline.
The hormone that greatly controls mood, appetite and sleep cycle  which  called Serotonin.
Oxytocin is responsible for the feelings of Love.
  •Depression
Depression being a dangerous feeling, give the reason why I had to bring it up on its on...
Depression is a feeling of unhappiness and lack of hope for future.
This mostly as a result of trauma or heart breaks..
Being a teenager,  one is mostly like to get depressed...
Teenagers will also love adventure and tend to try new things which sometimes result to fetal outcomes...

I would love to encourage the parents and the seniors to talk to the kids as they grow,  male them understand the changes that will come and let them know it normal.

Next time I will be talking on the problems teenager's in Africa face as they grow

Please leave a comment below and share to your friends and family,  let's create the awareness.

Preparing to face teen age

Are you a kid soon getting in to your teen ages and you wonder all the time what it means to be a teenager?
I'm going to drill you through that,  telling you all you need to know because I've been there before.
Firstly, I will love to let you know that though we are on the same planet(earth), we literally live in different worlds influence by different  beliefs and cultures...
Across the earth in different continents and countries,  even neighborhoods, we have different life styles and that  greatly influences transitions.

I will tell you about the transition as an African kid. With all the ups and down,  I bet the transition in Africa is not as easy as it is in other places around the world. This is because here in Africa , we have Lil or no talks about growing up and transition Into and through teen ages...
Personally,  I grew up with my grandpa who had nothing to tell me about the transition into the teen age so I literally discovered it all on my own.

A simple definition of a teenager is anyone between the ages of 13 and 19.
During this period of time they are several changes that the body experience and in some cases,  some of these changes come before one even become a teen.
The changes here are both . Internal and external

External(physical) Changes.

These physical changes include;

Growth of Pubic Hairs

The first thing that I noticed on my body which abnormal was the growth of hairs around genital.
I was scared and asked my mom and then she replied me with a shy tune that “it's OK son. I will tell you about that later" and that was all about our discussion.  These hairs grow in order to Providing cushion against friction that can cause skin abrasion and injury, protection from bacteria and other unwanted pathogens. So fear not its OK.

Changes in voice

For the male, your voice will begin to sound like you have caught cold.
That's the beginning of the deepening of the voice.  You are becoming a man.
For the females,  your voice start to become Sharp and light though in some cases, your voice may deepen a Lil but it is normal don't feel bad.

Change in body

For males,  you will start developing muscles and your chest will start to enlarge, this also contribute to the deepening of the voice.
For the females you body will become smooth and shiny, the hip become broad in preparation for child birth.
This also gives the girl her shape and makes her beautiful...
The breast also begins to enlarge as time goes on.
All of these is just the preparation for adulthood..
So don't get disturbed about it.
It's not bad.

On our next page, we will be looking at the Internal(psychological and systematic)changes.
